Pantelleria is a tiny volcanic island belonging to the region of Sicily, only 60 kilometers from Tunisia, which can be seen on a clear day. It is part of the province of Trapani on the main island of Sicily, famous for this pesto used for pasta dishes- an almond based pesto with hand-picked tomatoes and basil, along with garlic, extra virgin olive oil, salt and pepper. Kazzen, a family company born out of a dream of three brothers to bring Pantelleria’s gems to the world, harvests the produce and makes and bottles the pesto completely by hand. Ideal with our  Gentile casarecce pasta. Add your own finely diced sautéed eggplants for a nice variation to the pesto.
