Bordeaux Subapellations
Sounds geeky, but this will be a truly fascinating red wine tasting. Subapellation refers to the many sub zones within Bordeaux that each offers a different wine experience. We step into many of the major Bordeaux subapellations – from Margaux to Pomerol to Medoc, St. Emilion and more – to taste and compare these Cabernet and Merlot based wines. An educational and enjoyable evening! Presented by the staff of Good Mansion Wines. Served with French cheeses and French baguettes.

Phylloxera Wines
Hhhmm, another cryptic wine tasting??? Quite simply, we will taste many of those wines that were the result of a very pivotal event in wine history in the 19th century — the great phylloxera disease that plagued and destroyed crops throughout France. It resulted in a great diaspora of French wine producers and French grapes to all corners of the earth, from South America to California to Spain and beyond, in an effort to preserve the grapes and also the know how. The tasting will include Bonarda, Cabernet, Tempranillo, Malbec, Petit Verdot and more. Presented by the staff at Good Mansion Wines. Served with cheese and French baguettes.
